A-Ret Gel topical (for the skin) is used to treat acne, to smooth rough facial skin, and to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles and mottled skin discoloration. Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin renew itself. Avoid getting A-Ret Gel medication in your eyes, mouth, vagina, or in the creases of your nose. You should not use tretinoin topical if you are allergic to it.

Common use

A-Ret Gel is primarily used for managing acne vulgaris, a common skin condition. This medicine belongs to the class of topical retinoids, which are derived from vitamin A. In addition to its primary use, this gel can also be used for other conditions. It aids in the healing of sun-damaged skin and helps smoothen rough facial skin. Furthermore, it can reduce fine wrinkles and assist in the management of acute promyelocytic leukaemia.

Dosage and direction

Ensure your skin is clean and dry before application. Apply a thin layer of the gel once daily, preferably at bedtime. Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the gel. Remember, during the initial weeks of use, your acne may appear to worsen as the medication works on lesions forming beneath the skin surface. Improvements are usually seen after 8–12 weeks of regular use. Always consult your doctor for personalized advice regarding its use.

Contraindications
